Tets Ishikawa

Managing Director

Tets Ishikawa was appointed Managing Director of LionFish upon its launch in May 2020. He started his career as an investment banker, structuring and marketing derivative and securitisation transactions at ABN AMRO, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley as well as being a founding partner of fixed income agency broker Amias Berman & Co LLP.

He has been involved in litigation funding since 2011, alongside various other business activities as both adviser and investor, including setting up captive litigation funder Sparkle Capital Ltd , for Acasta in 2014. A long established and leading figure in the litigation finance industry, he was most recently responsible for running the ATE business at Acasta Europe Ltd, as well as managing Sparkle Capital Ltd which he built into a prominent market player.

Tets brings dynamism, entrepreneurism and innovation to the litigation funding markets through his unique combination of a deep understanding of litigation funding, derivatives structuring and financial engineering, together with a broad commercial experience across a number of roles and sectors. In particular, he has a reputation for driving operational efficiency, transparency, delivery and marrying this with innovative and practical deal-making traits, which form the backbone of LionFish’s approach to litigation funding.

Nicola Foulston

Chair

Nicola “Nicky” Foulston has been instrumental in developing the litigation finance arm of RBG since its stock market listing in May 2018, culminating in the launch of LionFish in May 2020. She is also Group CEO of RBG Holdings plc, the professional services group, which also includes the pioneering law firm, Rosenblatt Limited, and boutique M&A firm, Convex Capital Limited.

Nicky took over the commercial management of Rosenblatt in September 2016. In May 2018, the Firm was listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange as Rosenblatt Group plc, having raised more than £40 million. Following the acquisition of Convex Capital Limited in September 2019, the Group was renamed RBG Holdings plc.

Nicky has had a long, successful business career. From 1990, she was CEO of the Brands Hatch Leisure Group (“Brands Hatch”). Initially valued at £6 million, she led transformational changes to the Company’s operations and financial management over the next six years. In 1996, Brands Hatch was floated on the London Stock Exchange and sold three years later to Interpublic for $195 million. At the time Brands Hatch was the largest organiser and promoter of motorsport in Europe. She was subsequently named Veuve Clicquot “Business Woman of the Year” in 1996 and she remains the award’s youngest ever recipient at the age of 29.

After Brands Hatch, Nicky ran a family office with private equity investments in the USA and Europe, before joining Rosenblatt.

Robert

Robert Parker

Chief Financial Officer

Robert Parker was appointed Chief Financial Officer of LionFish upon its launch in May 2020, he is also Group CFO of RBG Holdings plc, the professional services group, which also includes the pioneering law firm, Rosenblatt Limited, and boutique M&A firm, Convex Capital Limited.

Robert Parker has more than two decades of experience in scaling high-growth, multi-cultural, international companies in a variety of industries. These include business services, technology, digital media and telecoms. His recent roles include interim CFO at Tantalum Corp and CLA Limited, as well as permanent positions at Ubisense plc and Immedia Broadcasting plc. During his career, Robert has worked extensively with public funds, private equity, and venture capital investors to build businesses.

With an extensive experience of demanding business environments, Robert has considerable knowledge of fundraising, cash and working capital management, business analysis and improvement, cost reduction, M&A and strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.

Jon

Jon Lovitt

Group Company Secretary

Jon Lovitt joined Rosenblatt in 2005, having previously worked in boutique city corporate finance law firms.

He has acted on a number of high value transactions across a number of industry sectors for many institutional, corporate and individual clients in areas such as: mergers and acquisitions; private equity fundraisings; initial public offerings; secondary issues; City Code takeovers; venture capital investments; joint ventures and partnership matters, and shareholder-related issues. Jon has also advised funders, vendors and management in relation to management buy-outs and buy-ins.

Jon acted as lead Partner in the acquisition and subsequent IPO by RBG Holdings plc (formerly known as Rosenblatt Group plc) of the business of Rosenblatt Solicitors.

Clive Hyer

Litigation Funding Director

Since being admitted as a solicitor in 1986, Clive Hyer has built a formidable reputation as a Litigation Solicitor, specialising in complex, high value and high-profile dispute resolution. Well known for his excellent tactical and strategic analysis skills as well as commercial nous, Clive has also built some exceptional relationship with UK and international clients, including high net worth individuals, trustees, professionals and corporates.

After 22 years as a partner at Rosenblatt, Clive joins LionFish where, as Litigation Funding Director, Clive will leverage his experience and relationships to support the growth of the business across its origination, underwriting and monitoring capabilities.

Neil Rowden

Litigation Funding Manager

Neil has been involved in the Legal & Finance profession for over 25 years at the Vestey Group, the London Stock Exchange and Rosenblatt Solicitors, where he headed up the Finance and Administration departments. Since the listing of RBG Holdings plc in May 2018, Neil has been Group Corporate Executive for RBG through which he has managed various finance and administration functions for both Rosenblatt and Convex Capital Limited, a boutique specialist corporate finance business acquired by RBG in 2019.

Neil is responsible for ensuring the operational robustness of LionFish. He is particularly renowned for attention to detail and implementing structures and systems that improve the speed and efficiency with which businesses operate. With his broad operational expertise and experience, Neil ensures that Lionfish’s delivery of litigation funding solutions to the market will always be first-in-class.
